Taking a Blog Break

Good-morning everyone

I just wanted to let you all know, I will be taking a break from today till September 12. I have assignments and exams coming up and I need to focus on that for now. I may also have a very special trip/journey/move coming up ( so please keep your fingers and toes crossed and Hope and Pray that all goes well ;-) ) Will let you know in due time about that one though. For now, I may come on here just for quick updates and whatnot, but seriously it will be far and in-between!!!!!!!

Quick updates:

Hair - I have my hair in micro mini twists. Its the smallest twists I have done thus far and since my camera isnt here..... well actually, I will take a few shots with my phone or use Rocco (remember him? my moms camera) and post ASAP. Also, for now, I am planning on keeping these in until I am done with my studies, so I guess by the second or third week of September or if I can manage it till October ( and take them on my trip.....ohhhh shhhhhhhhhhh wont say nothing for now ;-)). I used my SheAloe mix to do the twists and am only using Coconut oil and Castor oil on/in it. As well as rose water as a daily spritzer, I want to see what will happen with the rose water only, as well as the other two oils. So that's what's up on the hair front.

Leg - since coming back from Switzerland and Austria I have noticed that my leg has stretched out more, thus my limping is a lot less. I gather I have about a centimeter and some change to go. Will hopefully try and incorporate some Pilates and get back into Yoga during this down time to finish the stretch and strengthen my muscles as well as get more flexibility with my left foot (remember its been in shoes for years and I never used it much) so everything I do with it feels strange and somewhat uncomfortable. But I keep keeping on. I am a soldier girl!!!!!!, Before the end of the year, both my legs will be the same length and I wont be limping anymore. Believe me on that!!!!!!!!

Skin - my skin is seriously glowing right now, its more smoother and soft than when I first began with my oils and butters. Some scars are fading away nicely and stretch marks are turning slightly lighter (always good). This summer has been good to me, ohhhh I also only use my SheAloe mix on my skin. And I am getting some African Black Soap soon (straight from Ghana - that's how I roll y'all!!!!!!!).

Nails - I had a booboo and broke a nail, it was bad. I cried. So I had to cut them all off and start again. Then I really cried. I could have just left them, but I kept seeing 9 long fingernails and this one short/small one. And I just couldn't handle it, so I just trimmed them all down to the same size. They are growing pretty quickly though, which is great for me.

Back in Stockholm

'Our duty is to be useful, not according to our desires but according to our powers'.

- Henri-Frederic Amiel

Good morning all

So I am back in Stockholm after a wonderful 10 days in Zurich, Switzerland and Vienna, Austria. And I have some bad news, I forgot Bruno (that's my camera) in Vienna so there will not be any pictures till my sister returns from Vienna at the end of the month. I know, I am seriously slacking as a Blogger right now!!!!!!!!! But on the real, my trip was awesome. I took a train ( and bus ride) from Zurich to Vienna and it was so cool. Wide open spaces, lakes, huge mountains, breathe taking views, I tell ya, Makes me wonder what winters are like ( but not wonder enough to go back during winter though lol).

Anyways, my last post was about going back 'home' and I can safely answer that now. Nope, you can never really go back home (or maybe that's just me). I realized when I was in Vienna, I had changed too much, my priorities were different. My desires and goals had changed since I left. Which is a good thing because it tells me I have evolved as a women and a human being. However, it was great seeing old friends, going to old hang out spots and all around eating food and drinking drinks that I love and that are cheaper than anywhere else I have been. I don't think Vienna has seen the last of me yet!!!!!!!

Come back for the pictures as soon as Bruno gets here. My poor baby, at least I know he is in good hands with my sister, she has her own camera ( which I have named Cassie) so at least I know Bruno wont be alone......;-(

Can you really ever go home?

'To be on a quest is nothing more or less than to become an asker of questions'.

- Sam Keen

Hi all,

So let me just back track a little bit, I was born in Zambia, raised in Namibia to Namibian parents and left Namibia in 2003 for Europe: Vienna, Austria to be exact till 2009, then moved to Nigeria till 2010 and then Sweden from then till now. I have lived in Vienna longer than I did in Zambia. Apart from Zambia and Namibia its the only other home I have known. Good times and bad ones. But I grew in that time frame. I am wiser, stronger, more confident, more Me. I know who I am now, more then I did 2 years ago.......So can you really ever go home again?

Gotta say, I loved my time in Vienna, it opened my eyes to so many things, that's the thing about me.... I adjust, I make do, I sort it out and make it work for me. But I will be honest, I can live in a place and leave and not turn back.......just for that simple reason ( it served its purpose for me, every place is a lesson), I find myself in a new space, in my mind. I am at a new place in my life and my new surroundings accommodating that thought. My thinking is more different, it Evolves. It works with the person I am becoming. I love Change and I love what Change does to me. Lets see what Vienna teaches me, she taught me so much the first time, maybe she will teach me more now. Let me try and answer that question, Can you really ever go back ' home'?

Blessings, Love and New homes.

I am off again!!!!

'There are no Foreign lands, it is the traveler only who is Foreign'.
- Robert Louis Stevenson

Hi everyone,

I haven't deserted Blogger (more like Blogger and I are taking a break). Anyways, I am off again, taking a short trip, will try and blog from this new European City. Maybe a new location is what I need to fix my blogging situation. Anyways,..... in case you are wondering, I never actually tell people were I am heading off to until I get to my destination. I don't really know why this is, but I just always either let folks know I am here, there or where ever once I have landed and I know which is my bed or couch. So Tomorrow you will know where I am. Till then,

Stay Blessed .

My 100th Post - My SheAloe Mix

'Moderation. Small helpings. Sample a little bit of everything. These are the secrets of happiness and good health'.

- Julia Child

Hi again, This is

Ohhhhhh my Goodness!!!!!!!!! I feel so happy about this, like really!!!!!!! 100 posts about Hair, shoes, plants, clothes, cameras, travel, birthday, products, more shoes, more hair products, hair styles, my legs, features.....I wont lie, there were some days, when I didn't want to just go on and on bout hair and other days when Blogger and I were not getting on, but overall its been an experience!!!!!!!! Ok, lets get to this post.......

So, I just finished mixing up some SheAloe (that's Shea butter and Aloe Vera - with different oils) and I wanted to post about it. Let me start by saying, I dont work well with numbers (as evident by my bank balance) However, I bought 100 gr of Shea Butter and I had a small empty container that used to have 50 gr so I used that as my starting point, I wanted to fill the container.

What I mixed was:
half of my 100 gr Shea Butter
3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel
a few drops of Argan oil
a few drops of Jojoba oil
a few drops of Coconut oil
a few drops of Glycerin
a few drops of Vitamin E oil
a few drops of Sweet Almond oil
a few drops of Castor oil ( lot less than the others).

My Shea Butter
mixing and mixing just the Shea
more mixing
adding the oils
after mixing the Aloe Vera. Yummy goodness......

Man, I am seriously mad I don't have a better looking cuter container but it is what it is. So, how will I use this mixture you ask? Well, I use it as a body cream and also for my hair. Well, actually, I am rocking twists again (I do keep trying with them twists don't I?) and I actually used my last batch as I was twisting up my hair. I have noticed, I don't use as much because its not oily per say, but you just need a little bit for the body and hair. It glides over real smooth. If you make your own, you will see what I mean. My last batch lasted a about a month but then I used majority on my hair to make my twists. My room is well ventilated, but its underground, so its kinda dark but not really...... check out Swedish houses to get my drift. And I keep my mixture on the dresser near my bed. What I am trying to say is that it held for the duration without going bad or whatever. Yep, so there you have it.

Ohhhhh, let me get my SheAloe Review on lol, gotta advertise myself. I have noticed that firstly, my skin is smooooooth, silky and very soft. Secondly, due to my many operations, I have a few scars ( my ankle, my knees and my leg) these are getting slightly lighter and in some parts dare I say, Fading. Also, my ummmm stretchmarks (look..., I was really skinny in High school, I weighed under 50 kgs, then I blew up in my last year of high school and first year of University, then I moved continents and kept up and down and now I am back to being under 60 kg heading down to 52kg, which is my goal - so I am blessed with tiger prints M'Kay??!!) anyhoooo they are getting lighter as well. Very soon, I will be able to have a full body nude photo shoot, tastefully done of course. I promised myself, if I get my weight down and my marks can fade or be less, shoot, I would walk around NAKED. Move to a Nudist colony and live out my days there!!!!!! I really would. But on the real, I may take some bikini pictures or something.

Don't act, like you haven't promised yourself something outta this world, when you first started your diet, health care, nail care, hair care _____________ (insert what works for you). I know for Me, I promised myself (deep breathe) some professional hair photo shoot when I reach my waist length (I may even get my hair done professionally), and I promised my self a full spa French manicure and pedicure treatment when my nails get long enough, when I reach my goal weight I am getting myself a photo shoot, all those shoes and clothes I keep buying gonna be in that shoot, I even got myself a make up makeover gift certificate darling. Am way on my way!!!!!!

Not really gonna do the nude photo shoot, but I may go to a nudist beach and sit far, far far FAR from people and keep my towel wrapped around me at all times. I will have binoculars though, just to make sure no one is watching me. With they own binoculars. Its the only reason I would take Binoculars.

Thanks to everything for commenting, lurking and coming back to check on my little blog. Here's to another 100 posts.

Blessings, 100 and SheAloe
