4 Months old today!!!!

'Every body needs time to rejuvenate, refresh, recharge and begin again.  Seeing babies face is the best way to relax, refresh, rejuvenate and recharge'. - Revathi Sankaran

Hi everyone

Yemaya makes 4 months today!!!!!

This has been an amazing month for us, so much new stuff. So many great special moments. New discoveries.

Every time Maya sees something for the first time, I do too.

Every taste, every  new toy, every new song. Its not just Maya who is learning.

Mama is also learning, through my daughter, with my daughter and because of my daughter.

Below are pictures I took over the course of the last few weeks.

Rolling over

Hugs and kisses for her doll Blessing

Poolside chilling

Pout and fake cry coming soon

Naptime with uncle Mike

Lights on!!!!!

Lights out!!!

Cryptic message?

Goddess Yemaya

Maya can also
- roll over
- fake cry
- shriek when laugh
- sing along to lullabies
- sleep through the night
- bring things to her mouth
- sit up in her chair
- wants badly to crawl
- has a favorite person in the house - my dad, her oupa. She cries for him and he is the only person who can sooth her. After a long hard day at work, my dad comes home to a happy giggling Maya who wont let him go.
- grab things and hold on
- loves being out the house
- loves tummy time
- loves bathtime
- watch intently
- great with new people
- can hold the sides of my face for kisses

That is all for our 4 month update.

New Phone

' Apparently we love our own cell phones but hate everyone else's.'- Joe Bob Briggs

Hi all

During my pregnancy which I still cant believe was only 4 months ago, I dropped my phone (as well as my iPod and Laptop - my doctor said it was pregnancy related, my fingers weren't grasping and holding on tightly as usual).  So I only now got around to getting a new phone.  This phone was on promotion and at a great price, so I snatched it right up. This is my new cute little phone.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo

Fits into the palm of my hand

This phone which is a smartphone, has
- WIFI
- GPS
- Bluetooth
- Android operating system
- Java support
- Messaging
- Radio
- Camera
- Video
- Email
- Quick office
- Google+
- Messenger
- Music player
- Chrome
- Games
- Navigation

In terms of smart phones I like this one for the above features. I am not so techno savvy, so the usage of this phone was very easy for me. My last phone (HTC - desire) which was a gift from my brother was also as easy. I am the kind of gal that likes to keep phones, laptops etc for years. I don't ever do a serious upgrade until something is very wrong or the product just doesn't work anymore. So I really needed something small, durable and had everything I really needed. Nothing fancy. Just a simple phone that can do the work of the big boys. And my little Neo (such a cute name) can do all of that. Don't you know, great things come in small packages?

I love my new phone for one special feature, on the apps I can get tons of lullabies and cute little games for Maya. Win win for mama and baby!

Note:  This is not a promotion for Samsung, I am just letting you guys know about this cute little guy. This phone was bought and paid for with my own cash. Am sure there are a ton of other great phones out, but for me, this is my newest big purchase.

Peace, Love and WIFI

Stockholm metro art: Midsommarkransen

'Everything you can imagine is real'.- Pablo Picasso

Hi all

Next in my metro art series is station Midsommarkransen.  This station has a wooden Midsummer garland in the ceiling and bas relief on the walls.  This piece was done by Anna Flemstöm, Stina Zetterman and Hans Nilsson in 1979.

Then on the platform walls you find wooden reliefs:  flowers and ' A Midsummer Night's Dream'.  This was created by Lisbeth Lindholm and Dag Wallin in 1990.  Onto pictures

The station

High in the ceiling

Beautiful flowers

Better shot?

Such an old town

That's it for this station.

New Lip color

' I'm a big lipstick girl - I'm old school that way.'- Zoe Lister Jones

Happy Monday

Recently during the summer sales, I picked up this cute Max Factor Lipfinity Lip color for a steal. Seriously cheap.  I am gonna add this to my ever growing lipstick collection.

What drew me to this was the name: Spiritual. Now any product with that name will mos def get my attention.

My new shade: Max Factor 180 Spiritual

This is a two step process: First the color then the moisturizing topcoat

180: Spiritual

What it says on the back of the packaging:  Max Factor Lipfinity. Lasting impact. Gorgeous long lasting lip color that lasts up to 12 hours.. Vibrant and moisturized lips thanks to the conditioning top coat.  What more  could a girl want?  Kiss proof. Food proof.  Party proof. Life proof.

For best results:  Step 1:  Apply color to clean lips. keep lips apart for 60 seconds or until dry.
Step 2:  Apply clear moisturizing topcoat for moisture and shine.  Keep your look  fresh by re-applying throughout the day as if it were a lip balm.

This is for me a good shade for Autumn. Cant wait to rock it then.

Note:  This is not a paid promotion. This lipstick was bought and paid for with my own cash.

Peace, Joy and Spiritual lip colors

Stockholm metro art: Alby

'Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.'- John W. Gardner

Hi everyone

My next artwork piece was dubbed 'The cavern of secrets'.   The artwork was created by Olle Ångkvist in 1975. This station has green walls on which you can find signs, decorations and symbols all in different colors. Enjoy the pictures

The station

A bird in the clouds

These remind me of kids fingerprints and hand prints

So sweet

So quiet

I think these are flowers or trees?

Definitely flowers

The other end

Chalk like

Such a cheerful station

Two people connecting?

In the cave

woahhhhhh

A waterfall maybe?

Nice bright orange seats

No idea what this is

Nor this one

So that's it. I leave you with these happy colorful images and wish you a wonderful weekend.

This little guy was just at the door looking at me. I opted not to go in and visit him nor his buddies. I don't know him like dat. See how he is eyeing me? Yeah, missed that.

Next up we visit the small children amusement park. Cant wait for my little girl to grow up to really enjoy places like these.

So sweet

Trying it out

Not sure if she likes it or not

And here is an elephant

Mike decided to try his hand at playing this game to win a prize for his niece

He did pretty good, won enough points to get her a blue rabbit with a carrot in her mouth.

Maya was too young for this. Maybe next time.

Way too much fun.

Blue Rabbit ( name) watching over Maya

Then we headed into the Old town via boat. This was Mayas first time on a boat. Tip was so short but well worth it.
